1. When this page applies
A Simplafy Hub customer company can connect its professional Instagram account to handle Direct messages inside the Hub. If you wrote to one of those accounts, some of your information went through the Hub: the messages, your Instagram identifier, @handle, name and profile picture.
There are two paths, depending on your case. The owner of the connected account (the company that connected it to the Hub) requests deletion through Meta. Anyone who only wrote to that account asks our DPO by e-mail. This page is the data deletion address we gave Meta for the Simplafy app.
2. If you own the connected account
- On Instagram or Facebook, open the apps and websites settings of the connected account and remove the Simplafy app; then request data deletion for the app using the option Meta itself provides.
- Note: this request deletes the conversations of the whole account, from everyone who wrote to it, not only yours.
- Meta notifies us automatically. We reply to Meta with a confirmation code and an address to track the request. Keep the code.
3. If you only wrote to a connected account
You did not authorize the app, so the Meta path is not yours. Write to [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion". Include your @handle (or your Facebook profile name) and, if you know it, the company you wrote to.
We may ask for simple proof that the account is yours, so we do not delete the wrong person's data. The request follows the data subject rights process described in LGPD and data subject rights and handled by the Data Protection Officer (DPO).
4. What we delete and what remains
We delete
- conversations and messages exchanged with the connected account, including attachments (photos, videos, audio and files);
- the AI assistant history of those conversations;
- the Instagram identifier linked to your contact and the access credential of the connected account.
May remain
- the contact record (name, @handle and profile picture) in the customer company's CRM, without the Instagram identifier. The company controls its own CRM; to delete that record, contact the company or the DPO;
- the technical log of notices received from Meta, which is deleted automatically within 90 days;
- data we are legally required to keep, such as tax records, for the legal period.
5. Deadline and tracking
Requests by e-mail are answered within 15 days. Through Meta, the request only shows as completed after we delete and recount the data.
To track it, use the address sent to Meta together with the confirmation code; it only says whether the request is pending, in progress or completed, and shows no personal data. If you lose the code, write to [email protected].
